What happens when the battery is drained?
The user can purchase a coin-cell CR2430 Li-ion battery from a recognized supermarket or from us. After which the user can replace the battery with the new one.
Difference between Muse Grandeur and Muse Minimo?
Grandeur has a multi-layered premium dial and has sapphire coated mineral glass along with NFC present whereas Minimo has a single-layered flat dial with mineral glass without NFC ( Can be bought as an add-on).
How does it connect with the phone?
Muse Watch communicates using Bluetooth Low Energy with the phone to send users notification.
How secure are payments on Muse Hybrid Smartwatch?
Muse uses the same technology as the debit card contactless technology. Your watch is just as secure as your current traditional methods of payment. The watch needs to be in very close proximity to the contactless reader for the transaction to go through. Furthermore, the hand has to be positioned in a Correct Transaction Position to avoid any unintended data transfer.
Your transactional data is always encrypted and the transactions over the Mastercard are just as secure as your Chip and Pin.
To further enhance the security, Muse also provides tools added layers of security to your transactions, so that you have a firm control:
a. Periodical Balance Notifications
b. Transaction alerts
c. The ability to turn on and off payments at anytime, anywhere on your watch.
Is there an expiry date on Muse Pay?
The Muse Hybrid Smartwatch comes with a 2-year warranty. The watch-like your credit/debit card will expire after 3 years from the date of issue.
Can I use NFC on my Muse Hybrid Smartwatch while abroad?
Yes, Definitely. You can use your Muse Hybrid Smartwatch anywhere in the world that accept Mastercard contactless payments.
A foreign exchange rate is charged for transactions, not in the native currency. The fees and rates will change from country to country. We will update with those details after the campaign when we have everything in place.
In what all countries do MusePay work?
The musepay will be available starting in UK and EU and we will follow it by making it available in other countries integrating one after another.
What is virtual prepaid Mastercard?
The virtual prepaid Mastercard is the account which funds the Muse Hybrid Smartwatch. You can connect multiple NFC enabled straps to the same virtual prepaid card. All the straps and Muse devices draw from the same pool of funds.
How to make payments with Muse Hybrid Smartwatch?
It’s quite simple to make payments through your watch. Just place your hand sideways on the contactless reader. You will see a confirmation on the reader that the transaction has gone through. You don’t need to enter a PIN. There is a limit to the value of the transaction without the PIN.
Where can I use Muse Watch to pay?
You can use the Muse Watch to pay at any terminal that accepts Mastercard contactless payments.
Will it work with VISA?
No, The muse watch currently only works with Muse prepaid Mastercard.
Is it linked to my bank account?
The watch is not directly linked to your Bank account. You can add funds to your Virtual prepaid Mastercard from your Bank Account/Credit Card/ Debit Card/Paypal.
Can I use it instead of my debit card?
The prepaid Mastercard works similar to your debit card. You can use it to make purchases online in shopping, tickets, movies etc. The watch can be used at any terminal that accepts Mastercard contactless payments in the place of your debit card.
Do you store our money?
No, we do not directly handle the money, nor do we store the card details that are provided to you. The money is handled by our programme’s issuer/EMI who has the proper authorizations from Mastercard and regulatory bodies. Similarly, the cards issued are stored with our partners who have the necessary compliances from Mastercard to handle the data.
Is there a two-step authentication?
No. Just tap at the terminal with your watch and transactions go through. You don’t require a PIN.
I don't have a credit card. What can I do?
You can use a virtual prepaid credit card service like Entropay to which you can add money and make the purchase on Kickstarter.
On what basis is the base currency for transactions decided?
The currency available for your account is based on the region you are in.
The currency for the transactions is based on the currency the merchant charges you in.
Is there an option to change the base currency to avoid Forex charges? Or can we have separate cards in different currencies?
You have the choice to have the currency on the basis of your region or have a choice in USD.
For Ex: In UK you will have the option of setting your base currency in £Pounds or Euros or USD.
*The availability of USD as the second option might depend on your region. We are working towards achieving this.
Separate cards for the same NFC is not possible.
