Is Muse Ring One legit?

Yes. Muse Wearables (Conzumex Industries) was founded in 2016 and incubated at IIT Madras. We hold granted US and Indian patents on our ring technology, including a single-antenna NFC payment system (US 12,613,577 B2), and Ring One is EMVCo certified for contactless payments with Mastercard and RuPay partnerships.

Why was Ring One Gen 1 delayed?

We contracted a large, established manufacturer to produce Ring One at scale. They were unable to develop one critical production process, called potting, which seals the electronics inside the ring, and could not deliver our 15,000-unit order. Rather than refund everyone and shut down, we built our own manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, which now runs the entire production process end to end.

What happened with the Ring One charging case?

A batch of Gen 1 charging cases had a PCB defect that caused them to fail, in some cases after months of normal use. Where is Ring One made?

Accepted Answer

Ring One is manufactured at Muse Wearables' own facility in Bengaluru, India, which runs a 37-stage assembly process with a capacity of about 300 units per day. Every Gen 2 ring is made there, on a line we control end to end.
